Before moving to Arizona, Pete was recognized as an Academic All-American and All-Big Ten athlete in basketball at Penn State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in finance. He went on to play professional basketball for over a decade in Europe, competing with top-tier teams in Italy, Germany, France, Poland, and Switzerland, including the prestigious Euroleague.

Pete lives in Scottsdale with his wife, Kristin, and their three children, Charles, Cecily and Josephine and they take great pride in building a life centered on empathy, shared values, and community. He comes from a large family in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Outside of work, Pete enjoys golf, science fiction, genealogy, and studying languages—all interests that reflect his curiosity, discipline, and respect for diverse perspectives.
